sync online only to free up space AFTER disk is full
If changing to online-only AFTER a drive is full, will dropbox move files from local drive to online so that free space increases?
Thanks.

Hi ppeixoto, the folders with the grey cloud icon are already online-only. Could you try marking the other folders with a green tick as online-only?
Could you also check and delete the Dropbox cache folder if it's there?

Hi @Jay
Thanks. I had already deleted the Dropbox cache folder.
What I don't understand is precisely the fact that almost all the folders are already online-only and my C disc is suddenly full. That's not because there are two folders that aren't online-only.

Could you right click the Dropbox folder itself, and choose Properties, to determine the exact size on the disk of the folder?

Sure. Thanks.

Okay, so the size on disk is 21.7 GB, you'll need to check this manually on your machine by right clicking each folder and getting the properties, to see which folders are taking up space.
Something is taking up space in the Dropbox folder, so it could be those two folders, or another hidden folder somewhere. Have you tried enabling hidden folders in Explorer to see if there is a hidden folder or file taking up space?

No worries, glad to have helped out.
Just to clarify, were you able to find some hidden files, or certain folders that took up space? This info would help other users with similar issues in the future!

Once I log in, where do I look to have it backup online only?
