12 Dropbox startup instances on Windows 11 device - takes forever to startup
My Windows 11 shows 12 instances of Dropbox in the startup!
Which obviously takes forever to start up
What is going on and how to fix?

Hi there Kerry4, thanks for flagging this with us.
Could you please send us a screenshot of the app's status and version as shown in your taskbar?
Did you try reinstalling it recently perhaps?
Any additional information is more than welcome!

Could you try updating to the latest version from this page and let me know if this persists?

will do and will let you know
Thanks

new install seems to have cured the startup speed - although it still shows 12 sub-items with high startup resource usage as per the new screenshot

Did you reboot your computer as well Kerry4?
- Kerry42 years agoExplorer | Level 3
yes rebooted, that's how I tested it booted faster

Is it possible to end all these instances, Kerry4, and then relaunch the Dropbox app, to see if that helps?

I can't disable all the 12 instances

We do have a new version of the app out now, Kerry, can you update to that, to see if the issue persists?
If it does, you can also quit the app and restart it, or disable the app on startup, restart the computer and then manually launch the app, to test the behavior, please.
