Hello friend.
Unfortunately, after several tests I did, the only alternative I found was to delete the aforementioned folders and reinstall, thus correcting the permissions.
Here is a link where my suggestion was accepted as a solution.

For anyone that has logged a ticket with our support team, can you please send me your ticket numbers, so that I can track them in our system and see what you've tried so far?
simonlloyd, have you tried downloading the latest app version via this link? Are you able to see the small Dropbox icon in your menu bar afterwards?
