After upgrading to Ventura, cannot start dropbox app
Hi, my dropbox app was working beforehand. I recently uggraded to Mac OS Ventura but now it's not working or syncing. I'm getting the error message "couldn't start dropbox" or sync. So I did the advanced reinstall (ran the terminal etc) and I'm still getting the same error message.

Hello friend.
Unfortunately, after several tests I did, the only alternative I found was to delete the aforementioned folders and reinstall, thus correcting the permissions.
Here is a link where my suggestion was accepted as a solution.
If it helped you, leave a Like. 🙂

Hi All,
I have the same problem! after updating my Mac I'm not able to use dropbox. I'm so dependent to Dropbox and I'm actually paying for the dropbox!
Would appreciate any advice!

Hey Shirin-t, sorry to see you're having trouble.
Are you getting the exact same error, when trying to start Dropbox?
Would you mind sending us a screenshot of the error log?

Nothing I save on my Dropbox account on my laptop gets updated on the main Dropbox folder or any of my other devices. I can no longer access Dropbox through the Dropbox icon. I have to go via Finder. Is there a way round this? I can’t continue working with Dropbox if this is how it is going to be going forward. Thanks - jwarf3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
I have the same problem and have had it for 2 months. I have resigned myself to just using dropbox online but it is not the best solution. I try about once a week to install the software and it will not open.
I'd like help with this please.

FYI for anyone else experiencing this and looking for answers: I raised this with Support today via Chat, and they had to escalate the issue to email support with a "specialized" team. That was over 7 hours ago, so far no contact received from this team.
I've been a paying member for over a decade and have never had such a terrible experience with Dropbox. Something has gone badly off the rails somewhere in the operation and I'm actively researching viable alternatives. Suggest others do the same, this is something they are unable and / or unwilling to quickly fix.

Thanks for your response, I was told more or less the same thing. That my issue had been elevated and I should expect to hear from a specialist. That was in January.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well.
For anyone that has logged a ticket with our support team, can you please send me your ticket numbers, so that I can track them in our system and see what you've tried so far?
simonlloyd, have you tried downloading the latest app version via this link? Are you able to see the small Dropbox icon in your menu bar afterwards?
