Apache can't open files in Dropbox anymore
Hi,
I am using an Apache 2.4.41 server which DOCSROOT directory is in a Dropbox drive. It's been always working fine until 2025-05-01, when my Dropbox client asked me for an update. I consent and immediatelly the Apache server stopped working. It seems it cannot open the files the way it did. If I move the web files out of the Dropbox drive (and I configure Apache to use the new location, of course) it works again. The error I'm getting is this one:
Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'E:/Dropbox/Web/index.html' (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in Unknown on line 0
Any way to fix it or workaround it?
Thanks.

True. I restored the old path in the Dropbox unit and deactivated the PHP support. It worked. PHP files are shown as text files, of course.

We were able to reproduce this issue. It seems to be affecting the PHP files.

I also started having the problem - I first noticed it yesterday (5.2/2025). I'm using MAMP version 5.05 (3998) x64 binaries release on Windows 11 PRO 10.0.22631 Build 22631.
If I move the files to my C drive - out of DropBox - everything continues to work fine, but I need to have the files in DropBox.
(I know my students had a problem with MAMP and OneDrive, but I've been using DropBox for years with no problems.)
