App on Mac not starting anymore, sometimes at all, sometimes very very late.

App not starting anymore, sometimes at all, sometimes very very late. Very frustrating. 

Any ideas how to fix it?

    Yes, it is in the start menu, and till now worked just fine. Since a week or two started to act strange.

    I would like to not reinstall it, to many files to sync 🙂

    Hey dutz dutz, I hope you're doing well!

     

    Reinstalling the app wouldn't remove any of your files, it would simply uninstall and then install anew the app. 

     

    Would you mind clarifying the OS you're using on your Mac, and the desktop app's version? 

     

    Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

    Sure, here they are:

    Sonoma 14.2.1
    Dropbox: v195.4.4995

     

    What I tried today, to quit the app (cause it's in the login items list and automatically it's launching) and then restart it, and apparently works like this...not the best solution I know:)

    Hi dutz dutz, if you don't quit the app, and then re-launch it do you notice any errors when trying to open it, or just that it loads very slowly?

    In the morning worked just fine, but now since an hour it's still loading...just won't start.

    Hey dutz dutz, if you locate your Dropbox folder locally, and check its properties by right-clicking on it; how many files do you see there? 

     

    Also, did you try the uninstall/reinstall route we mentioned?

    I made a print screen, I am not sure if this is what you asked for. 

    If there is no other way, then I will reinstall it.
