Download and installation of desktop app failed on brand new Thinkcentre
Failed to install on a brand new, just out of the box, Thinkcentre. Tried everything, run as administrator, different useraccounts, install from web or download. No good. Read all the help documents. Help document suggest to use the full installation, but it could not download! File not found.
Found a 2 week old discussion here with a link from the supporter, and, bang, worked in first attempt.
Conclusion: many of the official dropbox pages and help document contains dead and/or faulty links. I suggest Dropbox clean up the mess.

This made it: Stable Build 195.4.4995 - Dropbox Community (dropboxforum.com)
Kind of funny it makes sense to someone to name it the "stable build". Like a shop that sell fresh fish. Whats the alternative? 🙂 Old fish.... Who sells that ...- Rich

"Stable" is a common term used in software development to refer to a release that is considered (mostly) free of any major bugs or other issues. Before becoming a stable release, software will often be referred to as a "Beta" release which indicates that you could run into issues or bugs while using it. Basically, beta means it's in testing and stable means it's ready for release.
