Dropbox desktop app doesn't work after installing macOS 14.4.1
I updated my Mac to the 14.4.1 OS, and now my Dropbox desktop app doesn't work. I've tried deleting it and reinstalling it several times. Each time I try installing, the Dropbox icon appears temporarily in the normal place (although it is gray, not black). Then I get an error message, and when I click "ok" on it, the Dropbox icon disappears. Thus it doesn't even start. Any suggestions?

Hi there gclaf - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
If you happen to have any security software running on your computer, could you temporarily disable them and try an advanced reinstall as outlined here?
Let us know how it goes!

Thanks Walter. The only security software I have is the free version of Malwarebytes, but as far as I know, that doesn't run in the background. It just does scans on demand. I do have some ad blockers, but those just work with my Firefox browser.

I see, thanks for the additional information gclaf
I'd still recommend an advanced reinstall at this point. Just make sure that you're not connecting more than 3 devices to your account if you're on the Basic plan as you might be hitting your account's device limit.
