Dropbox does not open when I click icon.
I am totally baffled by the lack of service from Dropbox. I can no longer open Dropbox from my desktop. The blue circle just spins and then goes away. Why would I pay for a service like Dropbox when I can't get any help with making it work. I have tried chat...doesn't work. I have e-mailed them and they don't respond. I pay $ 120.00 per year. I don't use 25% of the allotted space. Any help would be appreciated. If I can't access my files, I will need to cancel the service and go elsewhere.

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience, Bruce M53.
If you’re on a paid subscription, you should be able to successfully chat in with our support team. Can you let me know what happened, when you tried to do that?
Other than that, please feel free to send me a screenshot of what you see when trying to access/sync your Dropbox app, and I’ll take a look for you.
Keep me posted.

I click on Chat and the blue box gets a little bit lighter in color, but no chat window shows up.

Hey Bruce M53, have you tried using a different browser, in order to initiate a chat; just to make sure this isn't browser-related?
If this doesn't work, could you share some additional info with me, such as the app's version that you're using, along with its syncing status?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
