Dropbox Menu won't load on my MacBook Air 2022 (M2 chip)

This has been an ongoing issue since I upgraded my computer to a MacBook Air 2022 (M2).

I install Dropbox but the menu never shows at the top of the screen.  I have had this discussion with Support and it's still not resolved.

When I first had this problem, it was installing Version 155.4.???? (I don't remember the last 4 digits).   This was done automatically when I transferred my data from my old Mac.

I talked with support and they asked me to be sure that the Early Update option was turned off - IT WAS

They did ask me to install the latest stable version which was 147.4.4800.

That appeared to correct the problem and the menu would load.

But now it has disappeared again because dropbox was updated to Version: 155.4.5493

I downloaded the latest stable version which is Version: 153.4.3932 and deleted the current version (using Safe Boot) and it started working again

I rebooted normally and the menu didn't load and I was now using Version 155.4.5493.  Apparently, Dropbox updated itself.

Has anyone seen this issue or have any ideas about what might be causing the problem?

Thanks

Elliot
