Dropbox on Windows keeps bombarding me with UAC requests, making it unbearable to use

Hello forum members,

I'm running Dropbox v161.4.4923 on Windows 11.

I'm just bombarded with endless UAC permission requests for my hard drive. That's just unbearable and I'd love to be able to resolve it.

That's how my taskbar looks after a about 13 hours since boot:

I'd appreciate any input on that matter.

Thanks in advance,

Eli

PS

That's how each one of those UAC messages look (can't take a screenshot of that, so took a picture via my smartphone):

Hey golosovsky, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you signed in as an administrator on this computer?

Does the info in this article help fix the issue?

Let me know how it goes.

I have the very same issue on Win11 22H2. Last couple of days every 10-15mins this message pops up. (Same code)

Hi Sphynx25, thanks for posting here!

Can you clarify the version of the Dropbox app, that you're using on your end? As my colleague Hannah asked above, can you confirm that you're running the app with admin rights?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

    Hey Megan,

I'm running 176.4.5108 and I'm logged in as a local admin. I un- and reinstalled it half an hour ago. Not sure if the issue persits.
