ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID - cannot login on web?
Hello all, have a work machine that has security software on it. When I try to 'sign in' via the dropbox desktop app it points me to a web browser which hits this page (attaced) and gives the following error -ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID. I will not be able to change any security settings on my machine.
Any ideas?

Hi bullitt196, and thanks for posting here about this.
If you click on the Advanced button, are you seeing any options to bypass this?
Is it possible to contact your IT department? If they don't mind you connecting to the desktop app, perhaps they can allow you to log in via this specific website.
Let me know.

Yes I am, however with my workplace security settings it is unavailable to bypass. What's interesting is I am actively logged into Dropbox in the browser... the desktop app is trying to log me in / does not recognize my active login elsewhere.

Hmm, that is interesting, indeed.
If possible, can you change your default browser, and try to sign in to the desktop app again? I’d like to see if that’ll make any difference.
Also, if you're currently on the free Basic account, please make sure you don't have more than 3 devices linked at the moment.
