Error Message when moving my synced files to an external drive on Mac

I'm trying to move my synced files to an external drive on a Mac mini M2 and I get this message: 

Backup not supported on different drive.

Disable Mac Backup before moving Dropbox to a different drive.

 

I have Time Machine turned off and don't know what else to do?
