Laplink PCmover Win10PC->Win11PC now got 2 Dropboxes on Desktop & D'box overflowing

Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
Windows 11
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)

Question or Issue
Earlier today used Laplink PCmover Professional to migrate from an old Win10 PC to a new Win11 PC. Generally fine but then started getting Dropbox alerts that using way too much space, which hadn't been an issue!

and it appears I've now got TWO Dropboxes on my desktop. They were I think both syncing and possibly generating multiple timeline versions on server I'm guessing. Have uninstalled Dropbox from Apps, and reinstalled, and currently chosen NOT to sync anything (hence I believe the red crosses).

Can't deduce a way out of this - eg do/can I somehow remove the two local Dropbox [can't find how to do that tho] and then aim to get ONE and only ONE fresh copy down.

Both Dropboxes on desktop have the same properties/sizes and appear to have the same contents/folders etc.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Would be good to clear the new Win11 PC's dropboxes (offline/unsync'd) and then get fresh from server.

Since the Dropbox folder is showing up as the same location, then it shouldn't be possible to have the folder appear twice, nor would it take up twice the space on your machine, since there is only one location.

Is it possible that you've duplicated the Dropbox folder within the Dropbox folder itself using this migration tool?

    Hi Jay

    Thanks for the rapid response.

Unfortunately I am on a Dropbox Basic/Free plan (with 3 devices connected -having removed the Win10 PC that migrated from)

Hi MKD-W11 , Tim from Laplink Software here.

Very sorry to hear of the issue, my team would love to grab some more information for us to improve your experience and future transfers with Dropbox.

If you are willing, we would first be interested in the log files found in C:\ProgramData\Laplink\Pcmover. Please email me those at [Removed as per Community Guidelines] or just send me a email and I'll reply with a cloud location to upload them.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, looking forward to solving it with you!

Hi MKD-W11, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

Make sure to delete the Dropbox folders once the Dropbox desktop application has been uninstalled first, before performing the rest of the installation.

This should clear any reference to both Dropbox folders on your machine.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
