Move Dropbox work account icon into Mac Finder (above personal Dropbox icon)
Hi there,
I need to re-install the icon for my work Dropbox onto the finder shortcut column on my MacBook Pro. I did have it but then when reorganizing my folders and files I somehow disconnected the link and the icon disappeared (my personal Dropbox icon is still there). I've tried dragging it from the work Dropbox web page I am logged into but that seems to just paste a hyperlink eg. onto my desktop or won't let me drag to the finder at all. I did it before but just can't work out why it's not intuitive the second time.
Many thanks!

Hi libertysilver, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Is the work Dropbox signed into the Dropbox desktop application in the Preferences?
This should generate the Dropbox folder shortcut in Finder.
Keep me updated with any progress!

I'm a long time Dropbox user who was just added to a business team account. I've linked my two accounts, but can't find a way to add the second account to the finder sidebar. I tried what you suggest, but when I open the Dropbox desktop app, it immediately opens finder and the personal account that was already IN finder. I can't even access settings in the desktop app since it doesn't actually open.

Hi LaMair, did you link the personal and work account in the Dropbox desktop application as well as the site?

No, but as I mentioned I can't actually open the desktop app to change any settings. I click on it and it immediately opens finder. Any suggestions?

Are you clicking the Dropbox icon once in the menu bar at the top near the clock, in order to allow you to access the settings?

Ah. No I was clicking the app icon in launchpad. I use the link in Finder so much I forgot it was in the menu bar.
