Hi LaMair, did you link the personal and work account in the Dropbox desktop application as well as the site?

No, but as I mentioned I can't actually open the desktop app to change any settings. I click on it and it immediately opens finder. Any suggestions?

    Are you clicking the Dropbox icon once in the menu bar at the top near the clock, in order to allow you to access the settings?

      Ah. No I was clicking the app icon in launchpad. I use the link in Finder so much I forgot it was in the menu bar.
