Hi pedroms, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you going to be uninstalling and reinstalling on the same computer?

Are you doing any other changes like upgrading the OS or anything of the sort?

This will help me to assist further!

      hi jay,

i'm going to do it in the same computer.
i don't want to have to sincronize all files and then setup each one as online-only or offline.

i actually have a problem of visualizing previews of the files that are online-only. So i wanna try the reinstallation to fix this issue.

Hi pedroms! Hope you’re doing well.

Please keep in mind that, in general, online-only files don’t show any thumbnails on the desktop app, like the offline files do (if that’s what you meant).

Also, if you reinstall the desktop app on your Mac device, and you get the new update for macOS on File Provider, your files may automatically become online-only by default.
