Selective Sync is hard to find after you first set it up - esp.. if the dropbox menubar doesn't work

I just got a new MacBook Pro and have spent nearly 4 days trying to figure out how to get dropbox to setup properly.
Out of my 5 initial install attempts, the dropbox menubar showed up once.

Even when that was open, it was totally unclear where to find the selective sync. Who knew that you had to go to your profile image, click on it, click on preferences and then click on sync?

Not me until I called tech support (who were great and helped solve the problem)... but this seems like a UI issue that could be better remedied if selective sync lived somewhere in the regular list of folders where online-only and other options live even if it's just an option "Edit Selective Sync"

Curious... how were you able to call Support? Dropbox doesn't have a phone number for support. Only Business accounts are able to receive phone support and it's handled through a callback initiated from their admin console.

I ask because it's easy to Google for a support phone number for Dropbox (or any company) but many of the numbers you'll find are third-party support companies, often scammers, with no affiliation with Dropbox.

Just making sure you were talking to a legitimate support person from Dropbox and that you didn't provide any private information about your account. Be safe out there.
