Stuck on syncing - can't access files.

Hi there,

 

I've used Dropbox for years. All of a sudden I can't open a number of files on my macbook. The app seems to be stuck on 'syncing'. It's massively affecting my ability to do work, and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone experienced the same and successfully fixed the problem?

    Hi cmkratz, welcome to the Dropbox Community! 

     

    I'd love it if you could clarify the OS your mac device is using, along with the version of the Dropbox app that you have installed there. 

     

    You can find the version you're using, by locating your little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi and hovering your mouse over it. 

     

    While you're at it, feel free to also let me know the app's exact syncing status

     

    You also mentioned that you can't open a number of files on your MacBook. Do you get any specific errors when trying to preview these files?
