Backing up a computer to one of several accounts
I am trying to backup a computer to a folder I created in an account defined by 3 separate emails. I wish to backup to one of the email accounts. I ID’d the server location as \\dropbox.com\home\m...

Thanks Jay. The software is a commercial product that usually uses usb- attached external drives for backup, but it says it can use cloud servers. The key is how to identify the server and the “email” used as the “account” to use. For example, when starting this query, the Dropbox sees me by a different name- not my email address. Therefore, I may need help on how to ID the path to the server.

3 years agoThis sounds like the software itself needs to contact the Dropbox servers to connect to the API.
I'd recommend contacting the developers for more information on this matter, since they would know more details about how their service links up with Dropbox.
