Can 1 Dropbox Business account be connected to 2 Salesforce Accounts?
Hello, I am getting ready to test the Dropbox and Salesforce integration in a Salesforce sandbox environment. I plan to connect my Dropbox for Business account with the sandbox to see how integration would flow with our current Dropbox setup. Once I am finished testing it in Sandbox, can I install and connect my same business Dropbox account with our Production instance of Salesforce, or will I be required to uninstall from Sandbox or connect a new Dropbox account? Thanks!

Hey joshuaBFM, apologies for the late reply, but I just wanted to mention that you should have no issues using the same Business account for the Sandbox environment and Production.
Let us know if you have any issues.

Hello
Thank you for your answer.I have the same trouble. We already have a Dropsign account logged in the production Org, but we wanted to test it our also in our sandbox environnement.
But we are getting this error :
indeed , the mail address in our sandbox environnement have a specific suffix at the end of the mail (for exemple : ...@website.com.uat01) compare to the mail adress in production.
Could you please help us with this trouble ?Thank you in advance,

Hi joshuaBFM, thanks for posting here!
Keep in mind that for this to work you would need to use one Dropbox Sign account and one Salesforce account, with both of them under the exact same email address.
I hope this clarifies!

Thank you for your reply !
But how can we connect our business dropbox sign account in a Sandbox Environnement ? In order to test it out ?

I'm not sure if that would do, but you can try the steps mentioned here and here.
Let me know if that helps AdminTest03

Hi Walter,
Unfortunately, the links that you shared didn't help me a lot.
Let me explain why deeply.
We have a Salesforce "Production" environnement and a Salesforce "Sandbox" Environnement.
The Salesforce "Sandbox" environnement is like a playground to set and design our Salesforce before to push theses design validated to the "Production" environnement.
To log into the production salesforce environnement and the Dropbox sign integration there is no differences in terms of username for the Dropbox Admin : for exemple ==> admin@gmail.com to log into the production salesforce environnement and to connect dropbox sign into this production salesforce environnement
But for all the users (included the the Dropbox Admin), Where we wanted to log in the sandbox environnement, the username (that means the mail adress) is not exactly the same as into the production environnement , it will become for example ==> admin@gmail.com.sandbox1
My question is, in that case, in a sandbox environnement, how the Dropbox Admin is supposed to connect dropbox sign into this sandbox salesforce environnement ? Is he supposed to log in also with admin@gmail.com.sandbox1 as username to connect dropbox sign into this sandbox salesforce environnement ?
Because we need to test some settings before to push this in the production environnement.
Hope it was more clear,
Thank you in advance for your answer,

Hi from me as well, AdminTest03!
From our end, only the system administrator needs to create the connection with Dropbox Sign (meaning you only need to establish a single connection between your Dropbox Sign account and Salesforce account in Dropbox Sign settings).
Once you've gone live, we advise that you keep the same connected user. Switching users will prevent open signature requests from being completed in Salesforce, and existing templates will be inaccessible.
We'd suggest checking with Salesforce though, if the modified usernames grant the same access.

Hi Nancy,
If i understand well, we can only log dropbox sign to one Salesforce production organisation ? Impossible to make some test in a Sandbox Organisation right ?
Because when you say : "modified usernames" this is somtehing related to the Sandbox Organisation which is like a playground as i said before.
"Classic usernames" are only related to the production organisation.
Thank you in advance,

Hey AdminTest03 - sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that if Dropbox Sign for Salesforce is installed in your production environment it will also be installed in any sandbox environments created post installation.
Within a sandbox in the Dropbox Sign App Settings page a prompt to connect is displayed. Use the same Dropbox Sign login credentials when connecting to a sandbox as those used in production.
For more information, you can have a look here.
