Dropbox Integration with Zoom deprecated.
I discovered after the fact that Dropbox has decided to end its integration with Zoom. Apparently this ended on 5th February 2024. My last Zoom meeting 8 February 2024 did not upload to Dropbox automatically as usual which led me to investigate with both Zoom and Dropbox. I was just informed of the decision on Dropbox Chat. Apparently, I was supposed to have received an email but I can't find one and don't delete such things.
I was advised to report the issue/complaint here. The solution offered was download and Re-upload to Dropbox which I know will work (because I used to do that years ago) but when I have multiple Zoom Sessions in one Day and there isn't time between meetings to do this this is a lot of extra work for something that prior to this change was automatic. I wonder how many others are affected by this and are just as mystified as I am? I may have to consider other options to Dropbox though need to investigate these. Thanks.
Update 15th February 2024: Given the growing interest in this post and issues it is causing I have now put forward it's reinstatement here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-ideas/Please-reinstate-integration-with-Zoom/idi-p/751519#M82875

Hi skmartin108 mine is showing as connected here but not working from a test this morning. I am awaiting a reply from Sam DBX on this.
Currently can't locate the App Centre but I know I have done before! - skmartin1082 years agoHelpful | Level 6
I'm wondering if it's because when I thought there was a syncing issue I deleted zoom hoping to immediately reinstall it and it was no longer there.

skmartin108 that might be it. Let's hope it gets clarified.
- nsrubio2 years agoHelpful | Level 6And the same for me. I see one of the reply’s here that zoom has been reactivated- yet when I go to Dropbox , zoom is not here for me nor can I find it in a search for the apps to reinstall it.

Thanks Sam DBX for the update. On a possible related note, there used to be settings for Zoom with a checkbox for saving cloud recordings automatically into Dropbox. The settings button/link doesn't appear anymore for Zoom, either.
- Kathryn Jones2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Sam I am curious as to why I am being informed by the support team at Dropbox that this integration no longer exists. I have copied the support staff into this thread in the hope to get an accurate answer. They have informed me that the information you have stated is inaccurate and the integration of zoom to Dropbox was removed on Feb 5th.
I sincerely hope your information is reputable and not giving us false hope. - Kathryn Jones2 years agoHelpful | Level 6I have been informed by Dropbox support staff that this information posted by Sam is inaccurate.
They have confirmed that the integration was removed Feb 5th. - Philip Wade2 years agoCollaborator | Level 10
Kathryn Jones that's the information (it's removal on 5th February) I was given when I first created this thread after having been informed of the same thing on or about the 8th. I was advised to create a thread here (see top post and subsequently another one in the I have an idea section - linked in that post). In theory, at least, Sam DBX was responding to issues raised informing us it had been reinstated.
What was clear at the outset is that the support team (whom you spoke to) did not know about the Deprecation at the time and some still didn't several days later. Zoom support were also unaware.
One hopes that the post here was a response to the concerns and issues raised and that the support staff have once again not been informed of plans to reinstate but of course there's no guarantee that its this! At present I have no idea whose information to trust! - Sam DBX2 years ago

Hi all,
Just to clarify, although the deprecation was announced on February 5th, this integration will still be available. We're currently working on restoring Zoom into the App Center, and we'll keep you posted once we have more info.
