Dropbox Paper Error Uploading files / folders from dropbox
Dropbox paper behaving unusually and I cant figure it out and chat was no help.
Trying to add several files and folders from our dropbox account into a doc, something I have done many times without issue but haven't used paper in a few weeks.
Using the "insert dropbox file" icon I'm able to browse my folders I want but when i check the folder or try to check multiple files in the folder i keep getting an "Error accessing files from dropbox."
If I only select 2-3 images it works but any more than that or selecting the folder it doesn't. folder only has 39 images in total. Image size is anywhere from 200 to 700 KB so file size shouldnt be an issue.
Thought it may be MAC Os new Safari update but Behavior is the same in private browsing mode, and doesn't matter if I try in Safari, Chrome or Firefox. Same error.
Have reset Caches and history. Same Error.
The "image upload" button works just fine and will load in multiple images from desktop folders, it's only the dropbox file feature.
I'm also admin so permissions shouldn't be an issue and there shouldn't be any issue related to the folder naming which dropbox can sometimes have trouble with.
Thanks

Hi rpm16, welcome to our Community!
Could you try using incognito mode without any extensions and plugins running to see if the issue persists?
Does this happen with all of your Paper files, or some of them?
Keep me updated with any progress!

HI!
Thank you, I do not have extensions or plug ins in Safari and I did try all three browsers in private mode as well with the same error.
I haven't shut off the few extension used in chrome or Firefox because they are more vital to some of my workflow than Paper and none are new. I used to not have this problem in any of the browsers but would prefer it worked in Safari as that is where I mostly am for dropbox.
I will have to look at if this is all paper files, but certainly any new one I try and start — and with every folder I try it with.

Sorry to hear about this issue, rpm16.
Can you please double-check if your browsers are all updated to the latest version?

Hi rpm16, do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, extensions, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

Hey Jay
I have explored this possibility and it doesn't change the error. If im overlooking something im not sure what it is.
also while understandable for troubleshooting, dropbox should work with a VPN running. kind of important for business users who end up on public or shared wifi spaces.
Colleagues having same issue whether remote or in office so it isnt isolated to just my machine.
I have also tried an older machine running older version of Mac OS but it's the same.
Cant really test the issue on mobile since paper doesn't seem to support adding more than one photo at a time from dropbox folders or folders anyway.

Hi rpm16, sorry for my late response, I was checking internally with our Team about this.
Does the issue still persist on your end?
