Missing folders and Paper docs after migration
For many years I have used Dropbox paper. Made hundreds of folders and papers. Now I have only 10 or so in my migrated section. First of all I had no idea something was about to happen. M...

Yes, I can see them in Dropbox but now I'm unable to:
- I'm not seeing them when I go to the "new" Dropbox Paper unless I star them. And even then none of my folders are there.
- Export all my papers to Word Documents all at once
- I can't even seem to export an individual Paper to a Word Document as it just sits on the "Preparing files for export..." window

10 months agoHey Lmstreng, sorry for jumping in here.
Just to have a visual of what you see exactly on your end, can you upload a few screenshots here? We’ll check them for you and guide you from there.

This is my Dropbox where I'm able to see the "Migrated" folder with all my folders and all of my Dropbox Paper documents (I have a lot of documents in folders)
This is the new Dropbox Paper where I am only able to see my documents if I star them in Dropbox. No folders load, no other documents, nothing else appears here.
And then when I open a document and try to export, it just sits on the "Preparing files..." window

Hey Lmstreng!
It sounds like you migrated to the updated version of Paper. Now your Paper docs are in your Dropbox folder. Paper docs and Dropbox files will be accessible in the same place alongside all your other Dropbox content.
Which platform do you use when trying to edit your Paper files and what is your OS?
Also if you use these steps, do you notice the same behavior?
- Open Dropbox Paper. If already open, go to the activity stream by clicking the back arrow in the top-left corner.
- Click your avatar (if you have not set an avatar, your initials are displayed).
- Click Download docs you created.
- Choose the filetype for your download.
- Click Download.

I didn't do anything, you all did this with no warning, emails, nothing! This is the most frustrating experience ever so now I just want to be able to export all my documents as Microsoft Word.
The steps you provided did not help. I'm not seeing any "Download docs you created" or any export/download options from Dropbox or Dropbox Paper.
This is all on Safari, Mac OS (latest version). My iPhone Paper app also shows none of my previous folders/documents unless they are starred.
