Can't access old account to cancel autopay

I have an old paid Dropbox account that I no longer have access to that email address.  There seems no way to reset the expired password.  How do I cancel the account and the annual autopay?

    Hi DSB1, and welcome to our Community! 

     

    Is it a direct Dropbox payment that you’re receiving or did you initially upgrade via iTunes/Google Play

     

    In case you’re being billed from Dropbox, I’d recommend opening a ticket with our support team and they’ll look into this further. Here’s how you can do this (don’t forget to send me your ticket number here afterwards, and I’ll leave an internal note on your behalf).

    Hi Nancy.  It's taken me a while to get back to this.  I opened a support ticket: #23629799 on 4/19/24.  I have not received any further help from support on how to close an old account that I no longer have access to the email, and the password has expired.  The old Dropbox account is direct, not through iTunes or Google.  I need to cancel this account before the next autopay.

    Hey Don! Did you make sure you weren’t logged in to ANY Dropbox account, while opening the ticket? If not, then it may not end up in the correct queue for our team to handle.

    I just opened a new ticket #23885431 using a private browser window.  Ironically, the autopay renewal was yesterday for the account I am trying to cancel.  I am a day late and a dollar short!  Please help me cancel this account!!
