Can't cancel free trial
I'm trying to cancel my free trial, but I don't have that option. Here's what the instructions say:
The "plan" and "manage plan" are completely absent from my options. I then tried to delete my account altogether, but it told me to cancel any ongoing subscriptions first, and this is what it looks like for me:
As you can see, it doesn't mention a free trial anywhere, but it shows 3TB of space, which implies that I'm being charged for the service with no way of canceling. I've tried looking for phone support, but apparently you need to pay to speak with someone over the phone. I'm afraid I might have to cancel my credit card. Does anyone have any answers?
Hey Red Gerran, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that it looks like your trial was indeed cancelled, but you'll get to keep the additional quota till the end of the trial period.

Hi from me too, Ricky!
2GB is the space offered in general on free Basic accounts. If you were on a Plus plan/trial, you’d see 2TB of space instead.
Just like Megan said, from your screenshots it looks like the specific Dropbox account you’re currently logged into is a free Basic one, so you shouldn’t receive any future charges for it.
However, when successfully upgrading to a trial, Dropbox should’ve sent an email to your linked email address about the upgrade. Can you please have a look again, and let me know if you can find anything relevant perhaps or double check if you, by any chance, have a second email address where the email has been delivered?
- Slick1803 years agoExplorer | Level 3I have looked at my email but have only received notifications from the Dropbox community, there is no messages in regards to a trial purchase..there is nothing in the bin in my gmail either, I may have permanently deleted it by mistake & would be unable to retrieve it, if Dropbox sent me it..wouldn't it show on your records?

Hi Slick180, it would but we would need to send you an email, in order to check any account-specific info on our end, since we have no visibility while here on the Community!
- Slick1803 years agoExplorer | Level 3I understand but if I have signed up for a free trial for 30 days which I believe I did by filling out my card details to Dropbox with the option to cancel anytime...& I have followed Dropbox rules privacy & policies by going through the correct procedure of cancelling the contract multiple times but with no success.. hopefully there is still a way to end the trial contact I signed up for if there is indeed one.
BUT if a charge by dropbox comes out of my bank account once the 30 days of the trial have expired I will have no other choice but to block any transition payments from my bank account to Dropbox as I will contact my bank telling them & explaining Dropbox would have no right in taking a payment out without my permission because I have tried to end the contract but haven't had any luck because of the cancellation instructions set by Dropbox did not work & feel like the whole trial offer was an entrapment to scam users from using their service. - Megan3 years ago

I am unable to cancel a free trial plan too. This looks like a scam to me. Dropbox are clearly making it almost impossibl;e to cancel and will be taking money without the wishes of the client. There is no way to cancel and nobody who will help. I think the police should investigate this.
