Need help cancelling a subscription
Hello: the prior owner of our dropbox passed unexpectantly and we no longer need the dropbox account. None of the other officers know the access or the password. How do I go about getting help from Dropbox??

Hi mayipetracek, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
I'm sorry to hear about your circumstances.
Is there a payment associated with the account, or you simply want the account to be deleted?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay: yes, we would like to cancel the subscription and if possible obtain a refund for the unused portion. The $119.88 was debited from our checking account back in November. The account would have been under the name of [Removed as per Community Guidelines] and our Treasurer's name was [Removed as per Community Guidelines]. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. He unfortunately kept things close to his chest.

If the transaction details are known, you can contact the billing team by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link, choose 'Other' and then put in an email address that you can access, followed by your billing info.

Thanks Jay. But that's the issue, I don't have the billing information. I do see the debit hitting our bank account back in November. It looks like it was an automatic renewal. Will the string of numbers listed on the bank statement be enough?

I'm also not familiar with how to open a private browsing window

Do you have a string of letters and numbers like on this page?
To open a private browsing/incognito window, you can find instructions here:

Yes, I do and I was able to figure out how to open up an incognito window. Working on finding the prior treasurer's email which is whom I'm hoping opened up the dropbox account.

You don't need to have the email address to contact the team, all you need is an email address that you can access in order for us to email you.
If you provide the billing information, and explain the situation, the support team will be able to assist further.

Jay: I thought your last communication would get be to the right spot, but I can't find anywhere on the billing page support a way to input the billing information. Can someone just call me or do you have a number I can call?
