Screenshot shortcut conflicting on Mac not allowing me to take screenshots
I have a free dropbox account and Command+Shift+3 & Command+Shift+4 to make screen captures seems to be conflicting with the Dropbox app. Nothing happens when I press the keys.
I have a iMAC (intel) w/apple keyboard and am using macOS Sequoia 15.7.3.
All the apple system keyboard short cut preferences are on.
Is there a setting that needs to be turned off in the Dropbox preferences or a work around? The only time I can get it to work is when I am logged out of Dropbox.
I have no problems with Dropbox syncing or conflicting with any other keyboard shortcuts.

You can turn off the screenshot feature in Dropbox Preferences.

It was off, I turned it on, was able to make a screen capture and then turned it off and restarted.
Works now, thank you.

Hi there sg_artist , and welcome to the Dropbox Community! 😊
It’s great to hear you were able to get things working again, and thanks so much for coming back to update the thread. That kind of follow-up really helps others who might run into the same snag!
By the way, I’m Theresa 👩💻, one of the community managers here at Dropbox HQ. Since you were working with a larger transfer, I’d love to know… how do you usually use Dropbox? Whether it’s for personal storage, work projects, or sharing with others, I’m always curious how people make Dropbox part of their day-to-day.
Looking forward to hearing more,
