Two different email addresses, but I need access to the files on the old account.

Hello,

I am a teacher who uses dropbox for some work I do with a local organization. I had my school email attached to the account and paid for premium (my district doesn't use dropbox so this isn't a district question).  Last year, my district changed our email from @district.org to @districtabreviation.net

I was paying for a premium account on the old email and when I attempted to log in, it would only let me open my new email, but all my files were gone.

I tried to "change email address" in the settings and it isn't recognizing them as two different emails. It says my original one still exists, yet won't let me access my files or log in (it will default to the new email, like it sees they are the same email address, but treating it like two separate accounts. Which is frustrating because I am paying for an account I cannot access/has been wiped.  My new email works but is missing all my files. Please help! Thank you!

Hey Rlang77, welcome to our Community!

You mentioned that you tried to change the email address from the "new" one to the "old" email address.

However, if you sign out of the new account, and try to sign into the existing one, do you see any messages?

Do you recall the password, in order to give that a go?

Let me know, and we'll take it from there!
