Hello, I have an old Dropbox account that is tied to an old school email that unfortunately is no longer active. That specific account has sentimental videos that I would like to obtain. However, upon entering the email address and password it is asking for a 6 digit verification code that I am not able to access. Please help!

The 6 digit security code is used when you access the Dropbox account from a different location for security purposes, so without access to the email, things might be a little tough.
Do you have any old, connected devices that would help you see the files in the account?
If I were you, I'd also try to contact the email service provider and see if they can reactivate the address -even temporarily- so you can receive the security code.
I hope this clarifies!

I have tried re-enrolling to see if that will somehow reactivate the old email address & I will be able to access it but I am not entirely sure that will work.
If the latter does not work, is there no way around being able to access it? I know the email address & password, I just didn't realize I never transferred my personal files from that dropbox.- Mark3 years ago

The other thing to just be aware of is that if you have not accessed it within 12 months Dropbox automatically removed accounts for inactivity.
