Can't access email to get 6-digit code
I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer)
My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code.
I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do?
Thanks
Paddy123, is there any chance you have any devices that are still linked to that Dropbox account (via a desktop/mobile app)?
If yes, please check their notifications as the one-time code may be there.
Let me know how that goes.

I can’t login anymore because my e-mail was deleted (but I perfectly remember my login), so I can’t receive the 6 digit code.
Unfortunately, if you're being sent a one-time security code and you no longer have access to the email registered with Dropbox, there's no way to access the account without having another device already signed in to the account to receive the code.
Your best option is to contact your mail provider and see if they can restore your email account so you can receive the one-time security code.

Hey jshaddad, sorry to hear about this.
Can you clarify what you mean when you say that you lost your files after the latest update?
Do you have any devices still connected to that account, perhaps?

Hello, I have an old Dropbox account that is tied to an old school email that unfortunately is no longer active. That specific account has sentimental videos that I would like to obtain. However, upon entering the email address and password it is asking for a 6 digit verification code that I am not able to access. Please help!

Hi ejayamey, welcome to our Community!
The 6 digit security code is used when you access the Dropbox account from a different location for security purposes, so without access to the email, things might be a little tough.
Do you have any old, connected devices that would help you see the files in the account?
If I were you, I'd also try to contact the email service provider and see if they can reactivate the address -even temporarily- so you can receive the security code.
I hope this clarifies!
- ejayamey3 years agoExplorer | Level 3Unfortunately I don't have any old connected devices.
I have tried re-enrolling to see if that will somehow reactivate the old email address & I will be able to access it but I am not entirely sure that will work.
If the latter does not work, is there no way around being able to access it? I know the email address & password, I just didn't realize I never transferred my personal files from that dropbox. - Mark3 years ago

The other thing to just be aware of is that if you have not accessed it within 12 months Dropbox automatically removed accounts for inactivity.

Hey ejayamey. In this case, we can open a support ticket for you, and have a member of our team look into this further.
They may be able to do something more on their end.
Can we reach out to you to this email address or is it the one that you can no longer access?
- ejayamey3 years agoExplorer | Level 3I would appreciate any and all help! Thank you. You can reach out to me on this email.
