Free team disbanded by Dropbox
Hi Team,
Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means
The ???? Limited team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all ??? Limited groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan.
Reason I ask is that we had a colleague that left our company under bad terms.
Many thanks in advance.

Well from what I can see Teams is no more? however, I do have paid Personal Plus, was Business Teams albeit free one I think.
Now, having two computers here, now shows my personal account on one with no teams, and the other has the teams account and no personal. Talk about confused.

They've been unlinked so Teams wont work anymore. It means unless you are a paid Business user you cannot connect two accounts together and so can only have one on each computer at a time.

I have two accounts, a personal and a business. Both free.
Now I got this message: Business Dropbox removed Your buiness Dropbox account was removed from this computer because your accounts were unliked. Your files have not been deleted.
So. My Business Dropbox is gone from my computer. I have tried to link them again (Settings>General>Link accounts) but though I enter my mail and password, nothing happens.
Anyone who can help?

I'm afraid this is correct. Dropbox no longer supports the linking of free Dropbox accounts. If you want to link both accounts on your computer one needs to become a paid for Business account:

Hi kzarecki, how are you today?
Would it be okay for me to reach out via email, in order for us to look into this more closely?
Let me know.

In response to
"My Personal account was a PLUS plan and was connected to my Team account. When Teams was disbanded on me today, my Personal account was knocked down to Basic. When I look at my account, it shows Current Plan as Basic, but right below that is shows "Personal Dropbox space Using 166 GB of 2.01 TB" Can anyone tell me what's going on?"
.....
Yep, I've seen this happen before. Our club uses (soon to be used) the free teams and I had one club member that purchased Pro for themselves, only to find that when they did the purchase it was done whilst the accounts were linked and the account that the purchase was then recorded against was the teams account giving just that account in teams the benefit of pro.
We learnt the lesson and always de-linked before purchasing the pro license and then re-linking, never found a way to fix the one that was wrong though.
This used to be a work-around in Teams too. You could remove an account from the team, purchase pro license just for that account, and add the account back to teams resulting in that one account having the space needed without going full business.

I recently received an email saying that "The F2F team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all F2F groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan."
I was not aware that this was going to happen. I thought because we paid for our plan annually we had a business plan. It states that the files won't be lost, that they will move to a shared account, but all of my files are gone. I am happy to set up and pay for whatever we need to but I need to get access to those files.
Can someone take me through what I need to do.
Thanks,
Alicia

Several years ago I was invited to try a 2-gig version of the Business Plan. I continued to use my original Personal Plan as well as the new Business Plan.
Several years later I started a new part-time job, where I convinced my boss and his secretary to become Dropbox subscribers.
Half a year later they were running out of space (because they never clean anything up or make archives on other media or devices. They signed up for a Family Plan for the three of us. The secretary is the admin for the Family Plan.
I put the business plan files in the family plan.
This evening I received a message that my business plan has been disbanded.
I can't get back into the Family Plan. I went through my old email and found the original invitation, but it's no good any more.
I can't remember very clearly which email address was the userID for what -- but I have some good guesses.
I think I need you guys to relink for a couple of days and give me instructions for getting back into the Family Plan. I only knew how to do that when using the linking feature.
HELP! If you email me directly, I can give you my two dropbox accounts, and the address for the admin of the family plan. PLEASE HELP!

Good morning from Thailand. I've received E-mail that inform me about my team has been disbanded . I have a few questions about this.
1.I've never received any warning e-mail from Dropbox before, there's 2 persons in my team that can access my account, so if i've received nothing, it's mean this warning email has been sent to another, right?
2.If i want to restore my team, what i should do for this? Thank you. My teams' name is Na Ha Thai.
