My account seems to be gone after accidentally added to an organization's Team Dropbox.

While working as a subcontractor for an organization, my email was mistakenly added as a member of a Dropbox Team account. But when they realized the mistake and tried simply removing me, my entire account was deleted--so it seems that my email address that used to have my own personal account just got combined into this one. They were able to reinstate me and then I had access to my own files again thank god.

So I have been stuck on this Dropbox account since, unsure of how to get my old Dropbox status back.

Without having to download all of my files and reupload again, how can I regain access and control of my account with all files?

Hi elainemaltezos, let's jump right into this!

When you say that your own personal account just got combined into this one, would you be able to let me know a bit more? Are you referring to the content, or the email address?

Also, when you say you need to get your old Dropbox status back, are you referring to the plan on the account, by any chance? Do you wish to know how to link the account on your desktop app?

You mentioned that you already have your files back, that's why I am asking, in order to make sure we're on the same page.

Let me know more, in order for me to have a clear visual of your needs, in order for me to be able to guide you and give you the next steps!
