Cannot insert image in the description of my question that I published here

This is a question about the DropBox Community....

I tried to drop a screenshot in-line in my last post. I dragged the .png file from my Desktop, over my post text, and initially it appeared like it would be added (got a green "+" with some words about dropping the image in-line). But, sadly, it was "not allowed"! (I would love to send a screenshot of the error I got but ....)

The error reads: "File Not Allowed" and then clarifies "The file <filename here> is not allowed. A large, orange warning icon is to the left.

The screenshot is a standard Apple-produced .png file. I have tried again as a .jpg - and again using a very simple filename (no special characters, no spaces). No luck.

This is on a MBA laptop, running Sequoia and using the latest Safari browser.

Any ideas?

Have you just tried to copy and paste your image into the reply window? That works as well and that's usually how I do it.

But now, at least, I can show you what my icon bar looks like (under Safari:

I could do that, but the reason I'm on the Forum now is because I cannot get DropBox to launch on my new laptop. (That issue is in another thread -- one where I really needed to be able to post images inline.) But thanks for the suggestion!

    Good suggestion - I'll try Copy/Paste:

And it worked. (BTW, the image above is the error message I see when I try the drag/drop mathod.

Thanks for the answer. (I do wonder why I'm not seeing the camera icon, but this will do for immediate needs.)

If you are using a mobile device they do not appear. You need to be on a computer.

Hmmm... Interesting. I do not have a camera icon. (Wish I could screenshot and show you what I see!)

In the row of styling elements (Bold, Italic, etc.) and Quote, I have the icon for LINK (to the right of Quote) and then immediately to its right is the Smiley-face. No Camera.

Do I need to do something (this is Mac/Safari) to get the camera icon?

Click the icon in the options bar to insert an image to your post, or just copy and paste it.
