Enable a larger thumbnail view for files on the website
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE enable a larger thumbnail view when in "files" folders. We have pix we need to be able to see more clearly!!!!!!

Are there plans to update Dropbox so that the thumbnails are larger? No matter if I'm on my phone, tablet, or laptop, they are soooo tiny and it's hard to tell what the pictures are of. Please consider giving options to display fewer at a time on the page, so we can see what we're looking for - maybe small, medium, large...something. Thanks!!!

Hello. I would like to see the photos in my dropbox folders displayed in a larger thumbnail when I open the dropbox link, not merely as a list with tiny images to the left of the file names. I cannot find a way to do this, except by selecting "photos" which then displays ALL my photos currently on my laptop dropbox, not only the ones in a particular folder that I want to share. All those other photos are not meant for the recipient that I want to share only a particular dropbox link with. Please help. Thank you. Tina

I don't have an answer, but I have the same problem. If you have found a way to display the larger thumbnail photos, would you mind posting it here?

users have been asking for larger thumbnails for a long time. everyone wants it. i hope the developers are working on it

everyone who wants larger thumbnails search for "larger thumbnail" in the forums and upvote every single comment in every single thread and maybe they will pay attention to this topic!!!

Apparently, users have asked for this for months--I've found requests for it going back into 2013.
Dropbox, we HAVE to get thumbnails that are bigger than a crummy half-inch in size! Dropbox is SO critical to so many things we do, and for it to be so shoddy at managing images is just so...well, 1995 Geocities of you! Seriously, this shouldn't even have to be an issue at this point; having large thumbnails (and/or an option to display them as a large "Tile" view instead of just a tiny left-edge "list" view) is simply obvious. It's the big flaw you haven't bothered to fix.

Dropbox Staff
Hi there
Sorry for the delayed response - are you still having issues?
- Matt A.12New member | Level 2
Well, yeah--I mean, Dropbox hasn't given us larger thumbnails, have they? So unfortunately, I have to say that the issue persists. PLEASE give us larger thumbnails so we can properly manage our images.
- Joshua S.New member | Level 1
yes we are still having issues with this and many many users are still requesting it. obviously from the generic response the staff isnt even taking the time to read this message but only respond to it with an automated message based on it's last activity date. sad because many people have been asking for this for a long time

I don't know about the OP, but this is still a problem for me!
When I am in a folder, the pictures display in a file name list format which I like except that the thumbnails are 1x1cm - too small for reviewing. (Interestingly, if I send a link to a shared folder, that person has options for the display of the thumbnails - between file list (tiny thumbs like I have) and a grid display (like my 'Photos', but still inside the shared folder.)
I can get larger thumbnails if I go to "Photos" but there are several problems that make this NOT the solution to the problem:
a) I wish to be able to see the thumbnails INSIDE the folder in question - and not have to go to "photos" because this displays a mix of all my pictures and not just the ones in the shared folder in question.
b) "Photos" displays the photos in reverse order which is, well, stupid. While I'm asking questions, how do I change how the pictures in "Photos" display - ie how do I make them display in increasing order instead of the reverse?
Thanks.

YES WE ARE STILL HAVING ISSUES!! THUMBNAILS ARE STILL TOO SMALL

Evidently, there are hundreds of posts asking for larger thumbnails for months and years. I have vision problems and wonder how dropbox staff thinks that a 0.5" thumbnail is user friendly. Tthe current thumbnails are far too small.

I agree, it's ridiculous!

Dropbox is just being unresponsive. Not even the courtesy to say, "too bad, we aren't fixing it". Looking for alternatives. If anyone finds a good one, let us know.

i have looked everywhere and tried every online storage solution and dropbox has it down to a science like nobody else. unfortunately they are where its at if you want the best- except they ignore their customers!

an option for larger image views within the folder view is sincerely needed!

Hello development team,
Would Dropbox ever consider offering different Folder Views (i.e. Extra Large Thumbnails, Large Thumbnails, Small Icons, etc).
The current "list" view with the extra tiny thumbnails are extremely difficult to view when viewing a folder full of PHOTOS.
When you look at a folder full of photos on your computer, don't you immediately switch to LARGE ICON VIEW? Dropbox web users would like the same feature.
Thank you.

Moved to Product Feedback.
And, for my personal opinion...
When you look at a folder full of photos on your computer, don't you immediately switch to LARGE ICON VIEW?
Never.

Very productive response Super User! Thanks!

I agree Yukon, I'd fine that very useful too. Super hard to see the images & I just want to select one or two for download.

I seriously can't see my files with the tiny thumbnails. I have a paid account. Thinking I need to drop DropBox all together if this doesn't get fixed.
