Finally a solution to manage all your contacts on different devices?
Hi,
How many devices do you have? How many different contacts do you have on each device? How many double entries of contacts do you have?
I can tell you, it is impossible to keep this organized... but we could go for another approach. Not by another third party tool that does synchronizing contacts between only 2 systems, no... as a central platform. And maybe Dropbox can play a role in this?
First of all, I'm using Dropbox to keep my files synchronized over:
- different platforms
- different operating systems
- different devices
The big advantage is that Dropbox is independent from all three mentioned above and has on each of them good interfacing. Therefore I have the idea to use Dropbox also as a central platform for all contacts. And there is more, Dropbox should also not only synchronize but also keep the different contacts list on your devices up to date. That means, if on one or the other platform a new contact has been added, modified or deleted, Dropbox should ask me what to do with it. After giving my answer, it synchronizes again all contacts over all devices.
I know this is not a primary focus of Dropbox today, but it might be one tomorrow?
Community, please let me know what you think!
Kind regards,
Bart
