Super User IIIf a business has multiple people sharing their "Camera Uploads" folder to them, that business has no way to distinguish between which "Camera Uploads" folder belongs to whom, nor is the business able to change the name of the folder for themselves on their end. This is a major problem.
Have you tried that? I dont have any shared with me, but, Shared Folders can be renamed or moved at will without impacting or changing the initial persons folder name or location. I am not aware that this would work any differently.
Shared Folders can indeed be renamed or moved without impacting or changing anything. However, if a Camera Uploads shared folder was renamed by anyone including the entity that the folder is shared to, automatic uploads will completely cancel on the sharer's end. The program on the sharer's end will also create a whole entire new folder, again named "Camera Uploads," resulting in 2 separate folders, one named "Camera Uploads" and the other to whatever name that the entity renamed the original Camera Uploads folder to, where any future automatic uploads will now be going into the newly automatically created folder instead of the old one
