open-in-place for folders on iOS

iOS has a feature called “open-in-place for files” for document providers, which Dropbox supports. But iOS also has a feature called “open-in-place for folders”, which Dropbox does not support. Some iOS apps need open-in-place for folders to work properly. For example, I use a LaTeX editor on iPad, and for the way LaTeX works, the app really needs read/write access to an entire folder to work properly, not just a single file, as it needs to read many files to work properly (and it’s ridiculous to have to give Dropbox access on a file-by-file basis – I have some projects with like 50 files). There are some apps, like Working Copy, and SecureShellfish that support Open-in-Place for Folders, and iCloud Drive supports it. To me, this is just basic functionality that a document provider should be able to access a folder, and Dropbox should support it.

Macstories.net noted the lack of support for Dropbox for this feature here: https://www.macstories.net/ios/fs-bookmarks-a-shortcut-to-reopen-files-and-folders-directly-in-the-files-app/
