I agree with this wholeheartedly. Not only is it super inconvenient to not be able to turn off autoplay for the reasons stated above, but I find it absolutely maddening how as soon as a WAV or MP3 file finishes playing, the app immediately starts playing the next file in that folder. I’ve been using Dropbox on my iPhone for well over a decade for audio production file sharing, and I swear the app didn’t used to do this. It’s incredibly disorienting and frustrating when you’re listening to something and it ends, and suddenly a totally different file starts playing. Especially in my case, when it’s almost always an earlier (now obsolete) mix of the same song you were just listening to or analyzing, that you really don’t want to hear, but don’t necessarily want to delete forever, as DB is supposed to be a place you can safely store your files. I’ve heard a lot of music producers and mixing engineers who use Dropbox complain about the same issue. Dropbox is a file management app, not a music player. There should be a way to turn off autoplay so you can listen to one file at a time without it immediately jumping onto the next file in that folder without you wanting it to do so. It didn’t used to be like this. A relatively recent update implemented this change, and I would do anything to go back to how it was. It bothers me literally daily. I could see a lot of music producers and audio engineers moving away from Dropbox for this very reason. PLEASE add an on off option for autoplay in the settings menu in the next update! Thank you! -G
