Hi, I am working on a collaborative podcast project and we are using dropbox. I want to be able to download an Adobe Audition session file without Dropbox automatically downloading all of the associated audio files (they're huge). If I have the audio files on a local hard drive I am hoping I can just download the session and use the locally saved files and then reupload the session to Dropbox for my colleagues to view/edit, again using the same audio files saved locally on their harddrives. I hope that makes sense and thanks for any pointers or guidance given.

Hi @ZackieB, welcome to our Community!

What you described about Adobe, and the associated audio files seems to fall outside of our expertise, I'm afraid. But let's give it a go.

Are the files saved as separate files in Dropbox? Do they just contain links which when opened in Adobe they would try and open the associated files?

If the files you mention are linked to the main session, then I can see where you're coming from, and what you wish to achieve, however you can't choose a particular part of an Audition session that you wish to download from a file that has been uploaded to Dropbox.

In any case, I'll keep the thread open, so others can leave their suggestions here. I hope this helps!
