Third party API apps should use the OAuth app authorization flow:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#authorization" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/documentation#authorization&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/oauth-guide" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/oauth-guide&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That will get your app an access token for the user that you can store and re-use for future API calls without further manual user intervention.</description>
