&lt;P&gt;To bypass a lot of the troubleshooting, I've already tried these fixes to no avail:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;I meet the minimum system reqs to run Dropbox&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;I have a secure internet connection&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Antivirus (Bitdefender), firewall, and VPN disabled/turned off&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Firewall manually configured to work with dropbox&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Creating another user profile on computer then installing&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Tried to install app using typical installer (DropboxInstaller.exe)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Tried to install app using Offline Installer (134.4.4115)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Tried to install app using Offline Installer (140.4.1951)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Clicking on the hyperlink for advanced re-install - takes me to this inane help page:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/install-failed" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Dropbox installer failed to start | Dropbox Help&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

I tried every method mentioned in the support link provided in the error message, including a full install after uninstalling the previous version, and continually receive this error.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Full message: "Installation failed with an unknown error&amp;nbsp;(Error Code: -1073741795). See the link below for instructions to perform an advanced reinstall." and I have followed the instructions there without success.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If the app hasn't been installed with admin privileges, there could be similar issues.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If you're not on a &lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan" target="_blank"&gt;Dropbox Basic plan&lt;/A&gt; with more than &lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/devices" target="_blank"&gt;3 devices connected&lt;/A&gt;, you could try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/advanced-reinstall" target="_blank"&gt;this link&lt;/A&gt;?</description>

Is there somewhere I can find those permissions to check?*&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I looked at the advanced reinstall instructions you linked to and I am not comfortable editing the registry on my computer.
