    <description>Thanks Jay. The software is a commercial product that usually uses usb- attached external drives for backup, but it says it can use cloud servers. The key is how to identify the server and the “email” used as the “account” to use. For example, when starting this query, the Dropbox sees me by a different name- not my email address. Therefore, I may need help on how to ID the path to the server.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am trying to backup a computer to a folder I created in an account defined by 3 separate emails. I wish to backup to one of the email accounts.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I ID’d the server location as \\dropbox.com\home\my email account\path to folder. When running the backup software, it asks for a user name and password. When I wish to view, login, or transfer files to Dropbox, I go to dropbox.com and enter the appropriate email and password to view its folders, etc. I am missing something on how to ID the path on the server since the software still asks for network credentials. How do I fix?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This sounds like the software itself needs to contact the Dropbox servers to connect to the API.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I can see the programs you mentioned earlier. They are programs on the computer. Your “solution” does not explain much- please ask your IT what the exact path to the server is including the emails that I mentioned.</description>

&lt;P&gt;That's not how Dropbox works. There is no path that you can enter into your software to be able to write to your Dropbox storage.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Any application that needs to write to your Dropbox account needs to connect to Dropbox using the &lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation?_tk=pilot_lp&amp;amp;_ad=altcta1&amp;amp;_camp=docs" target="_self"&gt;Dropbox API&lt;/A&gt;. Your Dropbox account doesn't act like a network share (as in the path you tried to use above).&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If your software says it works with cloud accounts, refer to the software's documentation on how to connect to Dropbox, or contact the software's developers for information on how to link their software to Dropbox.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
