One time they were pasted, the other time they were attached. I’m not sure how the individual email clients handle this. If they are pasted will this feature not work?

Just starting to use email to Dropbox. It seems to work for PDF files, but it will not save .jpg or .png files. Is there a specific list of file types that work with this? It would be very helpful to have image support.

Hi @kdm, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you using a specific program to email the files? Are they saved as an attachment?

Are you using the Mac OS or iOS Mail app?

This will help me to assist further!

It seems to happen from any email client. I tried the gmail iOS app and a web based outlook app. I attached the images to the emails and sent to the designated email address that was generated in my account

Images should be allowed to be added via email. Are you certain that the images are attachments, and not images pasted in the body of the email?

Yes, if images are pasted into an email, they aren't attached, so they're in the body of the email itself. This prevents them from being added to your account.

It seems like most mail clients insert an image into the body instead of keeping it as a separate attachment. I just tried mail app for iOS. Anyway to have this feature take images from the body?

The Mail app specifically puts images into the body of the email, meaning it won't make them attachments.

Currently, there isn't a method to allow files in the body of an email to be added to your account.
