If I don't receive a full refund I will pursue legal action against Dropbox&amp;nbsp;for not&amp;nbsp;properly verifying the owner of a credit card during purchase.&amp;nbsp; If it's happened once, I'm sure it's happened before&amp;nbsp;to others.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hang on - somebody has used your card for two years (and your saying illegally as you say you didnt put it in to Dropbox.com) then surly you should be contacting the fraud team of your card company and cancelling the card/getting new numbers etc. as the card is compromised? I'm also sure that the T&amp;amp;Cs will state on the card that you should be checking statements to spot things like this quickly.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Once you contact the card company they can then do the things about chargebacks etc. (although within the UK the limit is 90 days - not sure about the USA).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Dropbox does vet and check all cards but, as you know, cards do get stolen/cloned, or, people sign up and not realise they've done it, forget and then&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;you know&lt;/EM&gt; say it was an illegal charge...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have to agree with Mark here. You go to Dropbox to cancel the service and allow them to handle the issue internally (they're right not to discuss it any further with you), and then you go to your bank to handle the reversal of the charges.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Your bank will work with Dropbox to resolve the issue using whatever remedies you're entitled to. This is what your bank does, as a service to you. Let them do their job.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I signed up for a free trial for an upgraded Dropbox business account and to do this I had to supply a valid credit card. I wasn't pleased with the service and intended to cancel but missed the cutoff to cancel by a few hours&amp;nbsp; and got charged full price and they promptly charged my credit card full price&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Well I guess I was aware&amp;nbsp; that this may happen and like countless others ended up paying full price for free trial and companies know that once they have your credit card info they will find a way to make free not free at all&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Now I have canceled my Dropbox bus account but it seems after me spending quite a bit of time on the Dropbox website that the only way to cancel my credit card details they have of mine is to supply them with another valid credit card or turn over my Paypal account details to them even though I no longer have an account that I need to make payments to them on&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Now I no longer feel that this is a mistake on my part getting hit with Dropbox charging my credit card and Dropbox is not being ethical here&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have to agree with others in this thread that Dropbox will take advantage of the fact that they have your credit card info. I remember a episode of that show American Greed where there are companies that bring in 10s of millions of dollars by finding ways to get people to sign up for something requiring they give out their credit card details and then charging for unneeded services&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I think this practice of requiring a credit card for 'free " trials is abused by countless companies and the Attorney General needs to intervene to save consumers from being taken advantage of and companies start respecting our credit card info and that our entrusting this info to them is not some kind of free pass to charge us for unneeded products and services&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;If the service being sold is so great why can't they give you a heads-up a few hours before charging our credit card instead of a few hours after its too late to do anything about it?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Because as we all have learned once they have your money they are not going to give it back&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
