Hey @lia3, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

If you don’t see the Dropbox folder in the Location section in the Finder sidebar then you may need to check that you are running the Dropbox for macOS update, you can do so by checking the Dropbox folder location in preferences.

Click the Dropbox icon in the menu bar.

Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the top-right corner.

Click Preferences.

Click Sync tab.

If you are on the Dropbox for macOS update, your Dropbox folder will be in ~/Library/CloudStorage/

Otherwise, it’s possible that you may have inadvertently removed the Dropbox folder from Locations in the Finder sidebar. It can be restored by following these steps:

Open Finder.

Click Finder in the top-left of your screen.

Click Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) or Settings… (macOS 13 or later).

Click the Sidebar tab.

Under Locations, check Cloud Storage.

You can learn more about the expected changes to Dropbox on macOs 12.5 and higher here.

I hope this helps!

hello all, I'm a Mac user and, after the recent changes to Dropbox location, I can't seem to be able to find the 'dropbox' icon in the 'location' menu when I open any Finder window, and I don't know how to put it back... has anyone had the same problem? any advice is most welcome - thanks!
