    <description>Those steps would convert a member on a Dropbox Business plan to a personal account away from the team.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If they didn't choose the&amp;nbsp;option to 'Convert to individual Dropbox Basic account instead', then they would have deleted the account from the system completely.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Generally, the email is reserved for 7 days to allow the admin to &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/teams-admins/team-member/restore-deleted-users" target="_blank"&gt;recover the account&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
In the account you're logged into, is it definitely a brand new account with no files or &lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/events" target="_blank"&gt;events&lt;/A&gt; in the history?</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;I have used dropbox for several years (my dropbox mail address was:&amp;nbsp;[Removed as per &lt;A href="https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Announcements/Community-Guidelines/m-p/325896#M245" target="_blank"&gt;Community Guidelines&lt;/A&gt;]).&lt;BR /&gt;The problem is that I cannot access my account since 2021. Sep. 2.&lt;BR /&gt;Resetting password did not work. (No e-mail was arrived from dropbox.)&lt;BR /&gt;Today, I tried to register dropbox account with the same mail address. Surprisingly, an account with the same mail address was created.&amp;nbsp;Maybe my original account with my data file was deleted.&lt;BR /&gt;I want to restore my data and original account.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you.</description>

As you were able to create an account with the same email, it means that the original account has been deleted&amp;nbsp;from the system. In general, this means that it wouldn't be possible to restore the original account.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Was that previous account part of a Dropbox Business team, or was it a private, personal account?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
This will help me to assist further!</description>

I think there was an error when converting my account.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>In that case, the account sounds like it was fully deleted, and this is a new account.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
However, the team admin might still have the option to &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/teams-admins/admin/account-transfer" target="_blank"&gt;transfer your files&lt;/A&gt; on the deleted account to another member on the team, including the admin themselves.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
That member could then share those files to you so you can download them or add them to your current account.</description>

I got an email from dropbox asking if I want te join their team. Since I was in a hurry I clicked on 'Join your team'.&lt;BR /&gt;What happened next was receiving several emails from Dropbox&lt;BR /&gt;- Your Dropbox Plus account has changed&lt;BR /&gt;- The Admin has deleted you as a member from the team&lt;BR /&gt;After that my Dropbox account was gone, so I had no access to any file, not on my desktop, nor via the browser. When I wanted to log in, it said 'account is cancelled'.&lt;BR /&gt;On top of this: no possibility for support.&lt;BR /&gt;After I had a call with my friend who has sent me the invite, he cancelled the suspension from his team.&lt;BR /&gt;The situation is now that I got acces to my files again, but as a member from his Dropbox business profile.&lt;BR /&gt;All I want is to restore everything to how it was.&lt;BR /&gt;Can anyone help me how I can do this?&lt;BR /&gt;Many thanks in advance for your help,&lt;BR /&gt;Tom&lt;/P&gt;</description>
