They need to &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/convert-to-individual" target="_blank"&gt;convert your account back to an individual account&lt;/A&gt;. It's very important that they don't just delete you from the team as doing so would delete your account. If that were to happen they only have seven days to &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/restore-deleted-users" target="_blank"&gt;restore the account&lt;/A&gt;. They must convert it.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had a personal Pro account and was invited by an organization to join their Teams folder. I then selected to merge accounts and received a refund for the remainder of the year. i would like to split the accounts again and switch to my personal Pro again without losing my personal files. How can I do this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;As you're a member of a Dropbox Business team, you would need to ask the team admin to &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/convert-to-individual" target="_blank"&gt;convert your account&lt;/A&gt; back to a personal plan away from the team.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Since you've already received a refund of the remainder of the year, this means that you will downgrade to a Basic plan after the conversion. You can then re-upgrade to a Dropbox Professional plan by following &lt;A href="https://www.dropbox.com/buy/professional" target="_blank"&gt;this link&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
