Even though Dropbox currently supports a deleted files area, which are kept for some time, users may well not access Dropbox for a year and lose their files. These areas, can be emptied, at will (trashcan emptying).

So the files, are not family-safe.

Hello,

Google Drive does not address this issue.

I wonder whether Dropbox could become competitive by adding it.

Several users, share passwords with their families. Alas, they store important files in the cloud. These family members may get into a row or decide for these users that their files are not needed or to be deleted, login, and delete the files. They may even be children playing or wanting to use the mobile phone in some way. It may be an accident.

What can DropBox do.

It can create a designated area, via a pay subscription, where users can upload files but the files cannot be deleted from the client side.

Only Dropbox can delete the files, if it is deemed to be unappropriate or a storage violation (storing a file you do not have the right to store).

This, could also be done via a special AI chatbot. The chatbot, may, be, akin, to having the security of a bank. It recognizes the voice of the user, and, only the user can delete a file via a phone call, and, only if the user opts to have this service enabled.

I really wish Dropbox implemented this service.

Thank you for your support, and consideration.

Please keep in mind that there are several disabled or old users out there, who may develop dementia or other similar conditions, yet may want their files to remain intact.

Thank you for providing this service.
