&lt;P&gt;Currently, there's no way to password protect any kind of file through Dropbox.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As you mentioned, someone can do this only with &lt;A href="https://help.dropbox.com/share/set-link-permissions" target="_blank"&gt;shared links&lt;/A&gt;, when they're on a Dropbox Professional or Business plan.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Is there a away to send a PDF to sign but password protected? It seems that password is only available when sending a link to view a pdf but not when you send it for signing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
